A table of contents for a long episode

Chapters give a long episode a table of contents. A show publishes a file listing each section with a start time and a title, and the app turns that into something you can read before you commit two hours to it — skip the segment you are not interested in, return to the one you are. Each chapter can carry its own artwork and its own link, so a show can point at what it is discussing as it discusses it. Done well, the current chapter title travels everywhere the episode does: the player, the lock screen, and the car dashboard.

What you get as a listener

See what is coming, skip the segment you do not want, and come back to the one you do. Each chapter can carry its own artwork and link.

What the show does

Publish a JSON chapters file with a start time and title per section. Several editors export it directly.
