A scheduled live stream, announced in the feed itself

A live item is a scheduled broadcast announced in the podcast's own feed, with a start time, an end time and a stream address. Because it lives in the feed rather than on a social platform, any podcast app can show you what is on air right now and what starts later today, and can remind you — without you having to follow the show somewhere else to find out. When the stream ends the item goes away, so the surface only ever shows things that are genuinely happening.
